Monte Vista is surrounded by small farming operations which produce a wide variety of vegetables, barley for Coors, cattle, sheep, and one of the most unique farms in our area is the only Alligator Farm in Colorado. Another great day trip is a visit to Our Lady of Guadelupe Catholic Church (the oldest church in Colorado) located in the town of Conejos.
